Jubilee Prayer

God our Father we your children celebrate with joy and gratitude the Golden Jubilee/of the establishment of our Archdiocese. We gratefully remember all the graces and blessings you have showered on us for the past fifty years. We thank you for all our Archbishops under whose loving care and guidance our Archdiocese has grown. We remember our priests, religious and laity who have laboured with great dedication in one way or another to this day.

Hear our prayer Lord and send forth your Holy Spirit on us during this jubilee year so that we may become a renewed people in our personal lives in our families and in our parish communities. We pray that love becomes the norm of our lives and service our lifestyle so that faithful to your teachings we grow into a reconciling and forgiving community alive to the needs of others and living out our call to proclaim the Good News through our words and deeds. May we, the faithful of Archdiocese with the help of Mary our Mother become true witnesses of your love and may this year be time of grace and peace for all of us.

We make this prayer through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit one God ever and ever. Amen.
